Kyle Riabko

"With more than a passing familiarity with bands like Wide Mouth Mason and the Jordan Cook Band" (Cam Fuller, Saskatoon Star Phoenix), Kyle Riabko and his band Bluesway Express has been building a respectable resume in the past year turning in main stage performances at the Saskatoon Jazz Fest, the Delta Blues Association of Canada's Mid-Winter Blues Festival, the Saskatchewan Recording Industry's Flatland Music Festival the Prairie Music Awards and the established Ness Creek Music Festival and opened shows for kingpins like David Wilcox.

With the recent release of their debut CD called "Where Do You Fly?", the musical talents of Kyle and his blues trio become apparent through sounds and rhythm that can best be described as unique and experimental. Through a combination of vivid blues style lead guitar licks, a funky backbeat rhythm and lyrics of life experiences beyond their age, this album is a great start to the band's career as original performers.

Kyle's most prized possession is his Fury Guitar. "I find the Fury to be very versatile. The feel and sustain is perfect."
